Opened as the Bon-Air Drive-In on May 4, 1951 with Randolph Scott in “The Nevadan”. It was a standard drive-in, and closed in 1956. It re-opened as the Circle G Drive-In on April 20 1956 and remained open through the 1970’s. During the 1970’s, the drive-in converted fully to pornographic films before closing in the late-1970’s or early-1980’s.

Ad shows on Ossipee Rd, just past the city limits. So this must be the place…..

In the early ‘60s, my family lived about a mile down the road from the Circle G. I remember movies such as “Whatever Happened to Baby Jane” and “Blood Feast” featured on its roadside marquee. Silicon Sam, that is indeed the place!
