Google Earth satellite photo of the former location of the Bon-Air Drive-in Theater near Orangeburg, SC. The property is located in the 400 block of Neeses Hwy., at the intersection of Neeses and Cimmaron St. Photo clearly shows the concentric rows of earth berms typical of rural “ozoners.” (These low berms allowed patrons to park their cars on a slight incline, enabling a more direct view of the screen.) The Bon-Air’s screen tower, projection booth, and other theater-related structures (such as speaker poles) are all gone, however the manager’s house is still visible at the rear of the property, connected to the encircling driveway.
