Worth Drive-In

Sylvania, GA 30467

Sylvania, Georgia is located south of Augusta and is served by a main State Road 21 and was the home to three drive-in theatres and for a town that size that is quite a few screens.

The Worth Drive-In parked 200 cars just like the other drive-in in town, the Screven Drive-In. It was owned by Stein Theatres out of Jacksonville, FL. Stein Theatres also ran the city’s downtown theatre, the Palace Theatre. When it closed? Hopefully someone will know.

Was the Worth at one time known as the Skyview Drive-In? I found a listed for the Skyview but nothing on the Worth in the almanac. Car capacity was the same and also owned by Stein Theatres. Open from the 1950’s thru the Mid-1970’s.
