I used to live a block away & the demise of that theater was security issues with young adults & teenagers on the weekends. I only went 4-5 times in the entire time it was open . The matrix reloaded was the last film my wife & i went to see. We didn’t like going there. What makes that so bad is we aren’t older people we’re in our 30’s . They had a very nice 1 room auditorium that was capable of showing 70mm prints. People never knew how good they had it.

Closed April 27, 2008?

Still shows up on the Google Map Satellite Photo!

Anyone have more info or photos?

Open in 87 and closed in 2008. A very short shelf life indeed.

I agree, CWalczak. Same location but two entirely different theatres.

No, they drive-in and this theater are separate entities, and there are numerous instances here on CT where one theater is built where another once existed, and they get separate entries. Things get at little confusing sometimes when part of a former theater (such as a wall) is incorporated into a new building.

Duh, I’m an idiot; I wrote that listing!

Not sure if these two should be merged, since the land is the same but the styles are different.

This was built on the site of what had been the Twin Drive-In – don’t recall if that had a listing here.

At least one room of this complex was THX certified. HOFFA was shown with a 70mm print there.
