Originally opened by Regal Cinemas in 2000, it was closed by that chain in 2009. It reopened in August, 2010 as the Prado Cinema Cafe with nine operating screens with seating reduced to accommodate tables between seats. The cafe menu includes a variety of sandwiches, beer and wine, as well standard theater snack bar fare. Closed in November 2011.

It was taken over by Frank Theatres and reopened on July 6, 2012.

AKA

BOTINA SPRINGS 12

Some good photos on the Website.

~January 12, 2000-~June 21,2009 approximate? Please verify if these dates are correct under Regal.

As a 12 Screen it had 2,235 seats, I’m sure it now has less.

Need more info on the original theater, and photos.

According to this article, the new name will be the Cine-Grill Cinema. There is no indication though that it will a Frank Theatres operation.

Whenever I read about a theatre in Florida I always wonder “Don’t those people realize is they have a 16 inch tsunami the whole state will be under water?” I think they call mole hills “mountains” down there.
