Same drive-in? From the Feb. 1, 1947 issue of BoxOffice:
LOS ANGELES – Robert L. Lippert, vice-president of Screen Guild Productions, is building a new drive-in theatre on the outskirts of Medford, Ore. This will increase the number of his theatre holdings to 35.
The Medford property was one of several theatre sites acquired by Lippert when he purchased the nine-theatre circuit of Leverette Interstate Theatres situated in Oregon and northern California.
The new theatre will have a capacity of 400 automobiles with individual speakers for each year. (sic) It is expected to be completed by early summer.
Closed in 1987. D3molished(date unknown?). Remaining structures destroyed by a fire in 2002. One corner of the site is now Les Schwab Tire Center.

My first visit to the Starlite was in ‘65 on a double-date……..can’t remember the movie, but a lot of action in the vehicle…….my date tipped an entire pizza upside down, followed by spilling a large coke in my lap. My last visit was in the late 70’s/early 80’s, when they had modified it to a dual-screen theater.
It looks like it closed in 1987.
Added Goggle Earth from 2000, still shows field layout but no screen tower.

Medford,Or. Mention in the movie “DOUBLE INDEMNITY” so they had a Drive-in.Robert Lippert and Affiliated Theatres ran this Drive-in in Oregon.{in 1956}.
