Named after the route which it bordered. The 9W Drive-In was opened on May 30, 1949, by Walter Reade Theatres chain. It had a capacity for 700 cars. Facilities included a picnic area, an adult playground and a childrens playground, plus a dancefloor adjacent to the concession stand.

The approx. address for this drive-in was 1200 Ulster Ave. (now Kings Mall)
