Located on Highway 61 at I-81. Opened around 1980 as the UA The Movies at Schuylkill Mall, it was later advertised as the Schuylkill Mall 4 after UA was merged into Regal.
It was closed by Regal Cinemas in October, 2010, but reopened under new management on October 27, 2010. Four additional screens were being planned and after being closed for extensive alterations in September 2012, a reopening is planned for 2013.

Regal closed that one too, apparently in 2005, when a Great Escape twelve-plex opened outside the mall.
CWalczak…Your correct. That part of the mall is now a Dicks Sporting goods store.

If you go to the Map, you need to go East a bit to get to the Mall, that’s as close as I could get trying all different kinds of address combinations. It sure maps better than the original address. Can anyone come up with a better address?

One of the last remaining “in the corner of the mall” theatres…hope the renovations bring some much needed business back to this mall. I remember how nice it was in the nineties…anybody remember Hess’s Dept. Store??
The theater is currently closed for extensive renovation and expansion. Here is an article about the construction currently in progress. When the theater reopens in 2013, it will be known as the Pearl Stadium 8.
