Located on Highway 61 at I-81. Opened October 10, 1980 as the UA The Movies at Schuylkill Mall, it was later advertised as the Schuylkill Mall 4 after UA was merged into Regal.

It was closed by Regal Cinemas in October, 2010, but reopened under new management on October 27, 2010. Four additional screens were being planned and after being closed for extensive alterations in September 2012, it reopened in December 2012. The Pearl Theatre Stadium 8 was closed January 15, 2018. It was demolished later in 2018.

One of the last remaining “in the corner of the mall” theatres…hope the renovations bring some much needed business back to this mall. I remember how nice it was in the nineties…anybody remember Hess’s Dept. Store??

The theater is currently closed for extensive renovation and expansion. Here is an article about the construction currently in progress. When the theater reopens in 2013, it will be known as the Pearl Stadium 8.

Theatre closed for good on Jan 15, 2018. It was the last tenant in the now completely vacant former mall.
