The Drive-In was located at N. 76th Street & Dodge Street, and opened in 1948. It had a capacity for 648 cars.

It was closed on July 17, 1983, and was demolished. A strip mall now stands on the site.

Was not listed in the 1956 Motion Picture Almanac for some reason.

This opened as Drive-In on May 25th, 1948 In 1949 it was renamed West Dodge Drive-in and renamed 76 West Dodge Drive-In in 1952. The 1948 grand opening ad has been posted here.

So where Bag and Save is now was a drive in theater?

I worked at the 76th West Dodge drive in back in the late 70s. My first job. Loved going to the movies here, was close to home and always had good lineups! Miss it dearly.
