Named after the massive Lake Okeechobee, the Lake Drive-In served the residents of the sugar cane and ranch communities in western West Palm Beach County. The drive-in has since been demolished and a warehouse occupies the property.

it parked 256 cars and was owned in the late fifties by Gold-Dobrow.

I assume that Belle Glade Rd. & West Main are the same street.

Correct. Main Street is also a state highway that links Belle Glade with nearby Pahokee.

Andy, if you go to the 1980 aerial the drive-in is still there, it was really a straight layout for a drive-in. What year did the Lake Drive-In close?
