When asking residents about the Foster City Cinema they will most likely tell you it never existed. They will claim that the only theater in FC was the Mann/GCC Fashion island 6 Cinems. They have simply forgotten.

The Foster City Cinema was a twin theater located in a shopping center on Shell Blvd. It is unknown when it was built – the 70’s would be a good guess. It was tri-plexed at some point and played second run films until it and the strip mall were torn down in the early 80’s.
