Starlite 92 Drive-In

Located in Belington, West Virginia the Starlite 92 Drive-In was a small drive-in, in fact one of the smallest in West Virginia parking 100 cars. Opened by 1955 when it was owned by Gray Barker Circuit. It was closed and demolished by 1964.

It doesn’t appear on the 1976 USGS topographical map.

Throughout my 1956 Motion Picture almanac i have had some cities that belonged in different states, either a misprint or we entered the Twilight Zone, Andy.

I found it. Use the address 4790 Morgantown Rd. Belington WV. It looks like the projection booth is still standing, otherwise it’s an overgrown field with a farming shed. You can see the drive-in clearly at this address on Historic Aerials, 1956.

Looks like it was closed by 1964, its been demolished in an aerial from that year.
