The North 53 Drive-In was located on Highway 53. Playing on the screen on December 1, 1961 was "Big Circus" and "Naked Jungle". By the 1970’s it was under the Chris McGuire Cinemas logo.

According to the opening ad the North 53 opened on March 1, 1957 and was owned by Lam Amusement Co. It closed in 1976. The opening attractions were “The Proud Ones” and “Good By My lade”. At one time Lam Amusement was the dominant owner of theatres and drive-ins in Rome. (Cedar Valley Drive-In, De Soto, Gorden, Mall Cinema, North 53, and the Village were all Lam Theatres)
