A capacious but not overlarge auditorium with a very wide stage relative to its depth, wide-screen films are shown to advantage at the Windsor, Lockleys. While I was attending University in the 40s, this was my local cinema, within a few minutes' walk from home. For this reason, to my present regret, I rarely attended the Star theatres at Thebarton and Torrensville, a few minutes by tram towards the city.
