Beach Movie Bistro Inc. is owned by Virginia Beach brothers Donald Pollard Jr. and John Pollard with two out-of-town partners. The Pollard’s parents owned the long-gone Surf ‘n’ Sand Motel, which stood on the site that became the movie theater. The 20,000-square-foot Surf ‘n’ Sand opened with 8 screens.

Open ~1995-~2008? Can anyone verify the exact dates?

1995 R/C Theatres Management Corp., of Maryland

1998 Regal Cinemas Inc.

January 2001 Regal closed

Later 2001 R/C Theatres Management Corp. reopened

January 2008 closed

James, maybe you could add them since none of them are listed on Cinema Treasures. I was going by what is listed on CT.

What about the Columbus Circle and Pembroke Mall?

When this opens it will be the only theatre other than the Cafe Cinema Pembroke (3 screen) to be operating in Virginia Beach.
