The Pettit’s Drive-In was located in Ava, Missouri in the southern part of the state. The Pettit’s Drive-In held 200 cars and during the 1950’s it was owned by L.H. Pettit.

I think this drive-in later became known as the Highway 14 Drive-In, it was located at 680 NW 12th Ave., Ava, MO. I don’t think a town of a little over 3,000 would have had two drive-ins.
Chuck;In the 1955-1956 edition of Theatre Catalog, both the 100-car capacity Highway 14 Drive-In and the 200-car capacity Pettit’s Drive-In are listed, both operated by L.H. Pettit.
must be a Big drive-in town.3.000 ain’t many.
Thanks Ken, I couldn’t find anything on the Pettit Drive-In just the Highway 14.
Chuck,got my info from that old 1956 motion picture Almanac I found in the old Miller theatre.
