Tivoli Theatre

The Tivoli Theatre was opened on May 19, 1965 with Sean Connery in “Dr. No” & Sean Connery in “From Russia With Love”. This was a shoe box of a theatre on Laurel Street, right next to Woolworths. It generally took move-overs from the Carlos Theatre and the Laurel Theatre. The candy counter and box office were one in the same and the lobby could not hold more than 5 people. On October 10 1975 it was twinned. It was closed in 1981.

It is now an Italian restaurant.
