any idea if any of the other auditoriums feature 7.1 surround sound? I know I’ve noted this before, but the only other theaters where the entire complexes are equipped as such are: Bow Tie Reston, Archlight Mosaic, and the upcoming Alamo Drafthouse Ashburn

I can’t find it now but I did run across a site with DBox movie reviews – I’ve been frustrated by some titles to the point of really not seeking it out after a few bad experiences. When it works, it works, but often its pretty lame. Maybe for the new Fast & The Furious movie. I agree an $8 upgrade is a little too much especially since those seats can be for some flicks mostly dormant.

well at least it wont be expensive in 2D, the price for the D-Box screenings are outrageous if you ask me.

This venue just recently had Barco’s Auro 11.1 sound system installed in one of their theaters. It’s showing “The Croods” in 2D, which I don’t know why not in 3D.

It’s not great, s**t-your-pants showmanship like the Empire Leicester Square or GCC Northpark. I’m just saying it’s better showmanship than your average Regal or other average multiplex.
