Initially opened as the Charlottetown Mall Cinemas with four screens in the early-1990’s. Empire Theatres took over operations in 2003 with the theatre being expanded to 8 screens. It was renamed the Studio 8.
The theatre features stadium seating, automated box offices, digital projectiom, 3D, Real Deal Tuesdays and first run attractions.
