Located in the Everton district of Liverpool. The Popular Picture House opened around 21st December 1925. Seating was on a stadium plan, with a raised stepped section at the rear. There was a small stage and two dressing rooms, which were well used in the early years of operation.
Operated by the Regent Enterprise circuit, it was taken over by Associated British Cinemas(ABC) chain in 1932.
The Popular Picture House was closed on 8th December 1956 with Frank Lovejoy in “Mad at the World” and Beverly Michaels in “Women without Men”. The building lay empty and vandalised, and was demolished in the early 1970’s.
