The C.W.& C. Drive-In in Richton, Mississippi was opened on October 17, 1953 with Fred MacMurray in “Fair Wind to Java” & Rex Allen in “Shadows of Tombstone”. It was a very small drive-in parking just 150 cars. It was owned by Charles Waterall, Jr.

The address for this Drive-in is 1200 MS-15, Richton, MS 39476.

It does not properly map on Google maps but this is across from the First Pentecostal Church.

Now Twin Rivers Outdoor Farm Supplies.

Actually, the property that the drive-in was located is now the Perry County Multi-Purpose Building. A large structure that sits on the west side of the road.

The drive-in sat on the south side of the property and now trees cover part of its old location. There is no trace left of the drive-in today.

I just found what appears to be the grand opening ad. The opening night was October 17, 1953 with “Fair Winds To Java” and “Shadows Of Tombstone”
