This multiplex replaced the Capitol Theatre (now Imperial Theatre) opening as a 5-screen theatre in 1990. Cineplex now operated this cinema after that chain absorbed the Famous Players circuit. It was closed in 2013 when Cineplex opened the Galaxy Cinemas Sarnia.

This theatre was actually opened by the Famous Players Chain in 1990 as Lambton 5 Cinemas with 1285 seats, replacing the Lambton mall Cinema that same year. it was renovated and expanded to 9 screens and 2150 seats in 1996, and renamed Lambton 9 Cinemas
