Pembroke Mall is the oldest indoor mall in South Hampton Roads and opened in 1965. The two screen Pembroke Mall Theatres was built as a seperate building from the Mall and was open from 1969-1990 and torn down.

Pembroke Mall Cinemas 8 opened in 1990 and was attached to the Mall. It closed in 2011 and was torn down so that a Target could be built on its site.

Hopefully we can find the theatre chain that ran it.

Would this Pembroke Mall qualify as being located in Norfolk? The single unit Ultra-Vision theatre shown on the cover of this 1971 trade journal doesn’t seem to be listed at Cinema Treasures: Boxoffice

The old Pembroke Mall Ultravision theater is listed in the Virginia Beach theater section of CT as “Cineplex Odeon Theaters”.
