The Augusta was located on N. Ohio Photo of the grounds here
Approx. address for this drive-in was 2830 Ohio Street. White Eagle Credit Union is located where the screen was. You can still make out the outline of the back of the theatre behind the CU.
The drive in was run by Mrs. D.A. (Aline) Bisagno. When Aline was older, her son Bob Bisagno ran both the theater and the drive in. I worked at this drive in for two summers (72-3), and in the downtown theater in the winter.
I started at the front gate, and later worked in the concession stand. I also helped build a wall on the Augusta side, because light from new housing developments were interfering with viewing movies.
Sometime in the late 70s or 80s the screen blew over—the supports were all wood. It was replaced with a steel supported screen.
I still remember the intermission music, and some of the commercials for local businesses that were run during intermission.
