Opened by Pitts Theatres on April 23, 1951 as the Pitts Drive-In. R/C Theatres took over operations in 1969 and operated the drive-in until it closed in 1989.

The name change to Fredericksburg Drive-In took place in 1969 when R/C took over. The drive-in has been demolished since closing.
