At kununu, the drive in you are inquiring about is the Showtime drive in.

The poster featuring “Honky Tonk Burlesque” and “Love Moods” is pretty interesting as both films were released in 1952, demonstrated that “adult only” entertainment started at the drive-in long before the late 1960s.

Based on the poster, the approximate address (at least to Google) is 2802 N 3rd St, Temple, TX. The drive-in occupied the “loop” area where HWY 81 meets North 3rd Street.

The drive-in itself appears to have been closed and torn down by the late 1950s. A 1964 aerial photo shows a faint outline of the drive-in and what appears to be the foundation of the projector booth/concession stand. http://tinyurl.com/zos3ojf

Does anyone remember the drive in theater that was located near 31st and Canyon Creek Drive? I remember one being there around 1978.
