Previously the Regent Cinema now Castleton Walk Arcade

A picture of Castleton Walk Arcade, on Newton Road, Mumbles, Swansea, which was opened in 1983, in the building which was once the Regent Cinema. This opened as the New Cinema in 1927 and shortly afterwards changed its name to Regent Cinema. I took the photo in 2013 and was the first trader to open a shop in the arcade in 1983. I remember that the building was a Dance Hall, Nightclub and Disco, before it was converted to shops downstairs. The upstairs was still a Disco for many years and is now a Children’s Play area and cafe.
