The Movie opened with two screens on April 29, 1977. Operated by Tony Rudman’s Westates Theatres, a third screen was later added and it was listed in the International Motion Picture Almanac through 2007.

During the summer of 2012 the building was undergoing contruction for another use but the fading marquee on the street was still up.
