Located in the Best Plaza Shopping Center on E. Barstow Avenue, to the east of N. Blackstone Avenue. The UA Movies 4 opened in December 19 1975, and was around the corner from the UA Northgate Cinemas 4 on N. Blackstone Avenue, that opened in 1971.
Both these plexes closed about 1998 when the Edwards 21 opened. The UA Movies 4 had a slightly larger seating capacity than the UA Northgate 4. It has been converted to retail use.

I would correct the opening to December 1975. I remember buying the first ticket and the film was Sam Peckinpah’s The Killer Elite which had it’s national release 12/19/75. I kept the ticket stub which was number 000001.
