Signature Theatres opened the $15 million Manchester Stadium 16 on June 30, 2000. The Fresno Bee noted that the largest auditorium in the 4,000-seat cinema would seat 500.

The theater came under the control of Regal Entertainment Group in 2004 and the Fresno Bee reported on October 1: “Regal Entertainment, based in Knoxville, Tenn., now controls all 62 movie screens in the Fresno and Clovis markets. The company also takes over the operation of the 22 screens in two theater complexes in Visalia that were owned by Signature".
