Grand Sierra Cinema

The MGM Grand Theatres opened on May 20, 1978 with Fred Astaire in “Broadway Melody of 1940” & Cary Grant in “North by Northwest”. It screen classic movies. It was located in the Grand Arcade of the Grand Sierra Casino.

In 1987 it was renamed Bally’s Theatre and the following year in 1988 it was renamed Keystone Cinemas. On December 14, 2006 it was renamed Grand Sierra Cinema. The 2-screen theatre has a discount house policy, playing films after Cinemark. For variety they scheduled four films weekly, alternating the starting times. It was closed by Bloomhuff Theatres on August 25, 2024.

This opened as MGM Grand Theatres on May 20th, 1978. Old MGM movies were shown. Ad in photo section.

This became the Bally’s theatres in 1987 and renamed Keystone cinemas in 1988.

At some point, this was renamed Grand Sierra Cinema.

The theater closed August 25, 2024.
