According to a Kingsport Times article dated February 4th, 1951 article, the Sondra Theater “burned to the ground Friday night but dozens of people fled without injury”.

According to a theater program from 1948, admission and show schedule was as follows:

Admission: 10 cents and 30 cents
Sunday: 2:30 and 8:30
Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday: 8:00
Saturday: 1:45, 7:00, 8:30

Sun, Mon, Tues July 3rd, 4th and 5th of 1948: “Bad Men of Toumbstone” with selected short subjects

Wednesday and Thursday: “The Lady of Burlesque” with a cartoon and the news

Friday and Saturday July 8th and 9th: “Monte Hale: Under Colorado Skies” with a “3 Stooges” comedy with a “Superman” serial and a cartoon.
