The Acadiana Mall Cinemas opened in 1979 along with the mall and was located by the food court. GCC sold the theater to Carmike in 1995, which proceeded to build a new ten-screen theater on the perimeter of the center.
When the new theater was completed, the Acadiana Mall 5 became a second-run cinema and closed six months later. Since then, the space that once held the theater has been renovated and is now occupied by Sam Goody and Abercrombie & Fitch.

Does anyone have pictures of the cinema located in the mall. Remember going there a long time ago.
