Regal Cinemas held their traditional movies for charities event for three days and then opened for first-run films on December 11, 2014.

The 12-screen theater has all of the technology that moviegoers were expecting by the end of 2014. That included automated recliners, digital and 3D projection, and smart phone ticket ordering. Their menu includes a varied selection of appetizers, entrees, and desserts.

Designed by Blair Ballard Architects, the theater was carved out of a former Robinson-May building. Westfield Plaza Camino Real is also undergoing renovations and being modernized into an open-air center.

The city approved the project knowing that the Moviemax building, at the center since 1969, and also owned by Westfield, would be torn down.
