This is a picture that I took of the back of remains of the Victorian Theatre Royal, South Shields and the gap where the rear of the “listed” Odeon / Frank Matcham Empire used to be. There was a bridge to the audiorium block on Union Alley. Was listed building consent given for this destruction?
