Located on the north side of Stubbs Street to the east of town. The Hillcrest Drive-In opened on 29th January 1965 with “Blue Hawaii” and “King of the Wild Stallions”. The drive-in was built on the site of a rubbish dump. While the drive-in was being planned, an old car body with the words “proposed site of Drive-In Theatre-rubbish dumpers keep off” was left on the site.
The Hillcrest Drive-In closed in 1986. The screen was demolished, and the concession building converted into a house, the ramps and entrance(and exit) road are still there.

The Hillcrest Drive-in was opened by Mr A. E. Wright MLA, President of the Lake Grace Shire Council. The screen was 60 feet wide by 18 feet high.

Built and operated by L.F & N.W Thiel(1964 to 1977). Later operated by L. & A. Parker(1977 to 1986).
