We first saw the Captain Video serial at the Lyric Maylands in 1951 - there were 15 thrilling episodes.

The current chapter of a serial was one of the main attractions of the Saturday movie matinee when we were growing up in the 40s and 50s. Each chapter ended with a cliff hanger and you just had to go back next Saturday to find out what happened!- Captain Video was one of those serials.
