The Talkie Tea Rooms, located at the Midland Town Hall
Joanne with exhibition Talkie Photographer Jess Boyce The Talkie Tea Rooms, located at the Midland Town Hall, provided refreshments for the local theatre goers in the 1900’s and still remains today. While the tearooms no longer operate, you can enjoy a revolving display of temporary exhibitions, showcasing local events, artists and arts programs, visible to pedestrians 24/7.
The Place Activation team commission a variety of installations from community groups and local artists to fill the Talkie Tea Rooms windows – an opportunity to promote our local art, community, heritage and architecture.
