Located in the Mt. Clemens district in the Parkway Plaza Shopping Center on Groesbeck Highway at 16 Mile Road. The Parkway 1 & 2 Theatres was opened February 23, 1972 with Disney’s “Song of the South” and “They Call Me Trinity”. It was operated by Suburban Detroit Theatres. Each screen had 650 seats. I have an advertisement for the movie “Junior Bonner” from the Detroit News dated July 7, 1972 for this theatre.

It was closed in the 1980’s and was converted into a T.J. Maxx store.
