The Brighton 9 Cinemas was built and opened in 1972. A combined total seating capacity of 1,120. It was scheduled to be expanded to fourteen screens but it never happened. The theater eventually closed and gave way to the Brighton Town Square 16 Theatre across the street.

The Brighton Towne (note the “E”) Square 16 is now the Brighton Towne Square Cinema 20. See http://www.mjrtheatres.com/brighton.html
