The Park was built and owned by Mr. E.M. Jeha (at left in above photo) who, according to the El Sobrante Herald, had operated the State Theatre in Benicia since 1940.

Mr. Jeha’s son Dick, then only 21 years old, was appointed manager of the Park. Dick Jeha was a genuine good guy who soon became known and liked by almost everyone in El Sobrante. He demonstrated lots of patience with some the more rowdy children and teenagers but they knew that if they crossed the line he wouldn’t hesitate to throw them out either.
