School of Arts opened in December 1878. Movies were first screened in 1909 by Lyceum Pictures unitil 1910, and then by Olympia Pictures from 1910 to 1912, and then by Tivoli Pictures from 1915 to(1930?). All three movie companies also had vaudeville acts as part of the show as well. Tivoli Pictures shopped the vaudeville acts in the mid-1920’s. No known movie screenings after 1930? The School of Arts building was moved to the back of the block in 1953 to make space for the George Foy Memorial Square.
