Preston Airdome and Theater

The Preston Airdome opened in the Spring of 1914, built besides the regular Preston Theater that was constructed in 1912 with 544 seats but found to be too hot in the summer time, prompting the owners(Preston Amusement Co.)to built the Airdome for the benefit of the costumers and to reap more profits from the venture. The Airdome could seat 866 patrons. It has been demolished, but the Theater in 2016 houses an art gallery and artists studios.

The Airdome is long gone, but the Preston Theatre building, much altered, now houses an art gallery and artist’s studio.
