2007 Street View

Located on the southeast corner of Corrys Road and Elizabeth Mitchell Drive. The StarGazer Drive-In opened on 5th October 1972 with Frankie Howerd in “Carry on Up the Jungle”. It was independantly operated until January 1981 when it was taken over by Village Theatres. It was closed on 31st December 1990. Demolished(date unknown?). There were plans to build a mini Disneyland(possibly never built?). Now houses on the site. Number of cars unknown?

The remains of the street sign can be seen on the 2009 Google st view, along with the entry/exit gates. The site is now houses.

Opened on 5/10/1972 with “Carry on up the jungle”. Operated my Mr David Scott from 1972 to 1978. Taken over by the Smith family and Roc Kirby from 1978 to january 1981. Taken over by Village in january 1981. Last movie screened before Villsge took over was “Rocky 3. Closed on 31/12/1990.

Is that square that seems to be floating above the left gate post, the screen or the marquee
