July 1951: Crane, Texas Drive-In Theater Plans have been announced for Crane' first ‘drive-in theater to be constructed by Theater Enterprises Inc. B.L.Haley, manager of the Crane theater operated by TEI, said two locations were being considered. One is across the highway from the Gulf .camp south of town and the other is north of the airport on the Odessa highway. Facilities ire planned for 275 cars with a snack bar and other conveniences.
