Pereire Palace

Located in the north of the city centre. The Pereire Palace was opened on 1st February 1935. Designed in a Streamline Moderne style by architectural firm Wulffleff & Verry. Its entire facade was covered in black granite slabs (similar to the Odeon Leicester Square in London, England). Seating was provided in orchestra and balcony levels. The auditorium was very plain and its main feature was a huge curved ceiling which had no decoration.

It was still open in 1955, but had closed by 1962. The building is in use as a Monoprix supermarket.
