This opened on October 6th, 1928. I posted its grand opening ad here.

If this is the theater I am thinking of, it was in the “red light” district and it was torn down brick by brick. It was on a corner and the theater was dismantled from the front to the back. It was interesting to see the cross-section of how a theater was constructed as it was slowly taken down.

The Rialto theatre was designed by Fred Klein the same person that did the Coronado . It oppened in February of 1928 and had a 3 manual 10 rank Barton pipe organ. In its later years it was operated as the Capri . Water damage took its toll . When the roof first started leaking if they had applied a $10.00 roof patch it would still be here today
