The Cinema Induno became the Sala Troisi in 1997, in honor of the beloved comic actor Massimo Troisi who had died in 1994. Carefully selected new films would be shown in this Trastevere neighborhood cinema until it closed years later, spurring popular protests to have it re-opened.
