The Idle Hour was originally built in 1914 on North Chicago Street, but two years later was moved to South Chicago Street. In 1929, the theater was renamed the Rosslyn, and ten years later, it received another name change, the Time. The movie theater closed in the 70s, and housed retail afterwards. The former Time and the entire block it was part of were destroyed in a blaze in February 2004.
