This cinema opened in the mid-1980’s as the Woodgrove Festival Cinema at the Woodgrove Festival Mall and was operated by the General Cinema chain.
It was located just down the street from Cineplex Odeon’s Grove Cinemas. In 1999, General Cinema closed the Woodgrove Festival. The theater reopened in March 2003 as the Hollywood Blvd. Cinema.
There are currently plans in the works to expand the Hollywood Blvd. from its current six screens to nine in the summer of 2008.

The last movies I saw here were “THINNER” & “THE LONG KISS GOODNIGHT” back in early 1997
When it was still under the general cinema chain.
Who owns/operates this theatre now?
When it was General Cinema in the early ‘90’s it was the distric office for the Chicago, Northern In. and Mpls/St.Paul areas. The only part of Indiana not in the distric for a while was Indy which was part of the New York/ New Jersey district. Chicago was also the regional office until they shut them down and transfered the duties to distric managers. I think the regional office was at Woodrrove but I’m not sure.
Here are some photos.
Hollywood Boulevard Cinema LLC run by Ted Bulthaup. He had an eat ‘n’ view in Indianapolis called Hollywood Bar & Filmworks that went belly up in 2006.
The interior decor is modern American junk collection.
People can get a cheeseburger anywhere, ok? They come to Chotchkie’s for the atmosphere and the attitude. That’s what the flair’s about. It’s about fun.
If you want me to wear 37 pieces of flair like your pretty boy over there Brain. Why don’t you just make the minimum 37 pieces of flair?
FYI. WLS radio in Chicago interviewed legendary actor Tony Curtis this afternoon. He is in town to do a personal appearance tonight at Hollywood Blvd. Cinema.
They are screening “Some Like It Hot” and he will apparently be autographing books and his artwork.
He is also at the Collectors Autograph Show this weekend near O'Hare.
